The Origin Story

After decades in live events operations — working with venues, festivals, conferences, and promoters — one problem kept surfacing: none of the tools designed for guest support actually understood the business.

Help desk platforms were built for broad industries and stopped short of the event world. They don't organize around events. They don't track sentiment by show or season. They don't connect guest experience to the operational reality of producing live events. And when promoters delegate customer service to ticketing companies, they lose control entirely — support becomes transactional, about the ticket, not about the experience.

Founder & CEO

Carey has 20+ years building and operating live events businesses — from major music festivals to high-stakes destination events — across strategy, finance, guest services, ticketing, and systems. Co-founded Dataflow Enterprises, one of the early innovators in festival and event logistics software. Built technology and operations for Bonnaroo Music Festival and Goldenvoice. Led operations and transactions involving CID Entertainment, PrimeSport, Endeavor, and Live Nation. Built ASQR because the industry's support infrastructure is broken and no one who's actually run these operations has fixed it yet.

Co-Founder & CTO

Robby Black has spent nearly two decades at the intersection of live events and technology. He created the Dataflow Event Logistics Solution, one of the earliest platforms built specifically for festival and event operations, which later merged with Vendini. As Chief Product Officer at Vendini, he spent five years designing ticketing and festival solutions for one of the industry's largest international event technology platforms. Robby co-founded ASQR because after almost 20 years of building software for this industry, he knows exactly where the gaps are — and how to close them.
